Foundational Scriptures – National War Council

There is one true God (YWHW – Jehovah) eternal and everlasting in the Trinity of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Matthew 3:16 “And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him,[a] and he saw the Spirit of Goddescending like a dove and coming to rest on him.”
2 Corinthians 1:3 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort.”
Colossians 2:9 “For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily.”
1 John 5:6 “This is he who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not by the water only but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the one who testifies, becausethe Spirit is the truth. 7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree. 9 If we receive the testimony of men, the testimonyof God is greater, for this is the testimony of God that he has borne concerning his Son.”

Lamb for the Slaughter. Jesus was brutally beaten (Isaiaha 52:14 and chapter 53), crucified, died (Matthew 27:50), was buried (Matthew 27:59-60), and rose from the dead(resurrection: Matthew 28:1-20; Mark 16:1-20; Luke 24:1-53; and John 20:1–21:25).

Luke 24:1-7 “But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. 2 And they found the stone rolled away from thetomb, 3 but when they went in, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel. 5And as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? 6 He is not here but has risen.Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, 7 that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.”
Romans 1:4 “…and was declared to be the Son of God in power according to the Spirit of holiness by his resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Jesus Christ shed his blood for the forgiveness of sin and to free men/women from the bondage of the sinful nature (Romans 8).
- Romans 5:12,17-19 “12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way, death came to all people, because all sinned.17 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the giftof righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! 18 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteousact resulted in justification and life for all people. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience ofthe one man the many will be made righteous.”
- 1 John 3:5 “You know that he (Jesus) appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin.”
- Ephesians 2:1-10 “And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of theair, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the flesh and themind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when wewere dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenlyplaces in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you havebeen saved through faith. The Old and New Testaments (Bible) is the Inspired Word of God – Yeshua/Jesus
- John 1:1,14 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seenhis glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
- 2 Timothy 3:15-17 “and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in ChristJesus. 16 All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of (next page)

Peace with God – Justified through Faith

Romans 5:1 “Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

There is a Literal Heaven and Sheol/Hades

Psalm 9:17 “The wicked shall return to Sheol, all the nations that forget God.”

Daniel 12:2 “Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.”

1 Peter 1:4 “And into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you.”

The Coming of the Lord Jesus

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 “But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. 14For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. 15 For this we declare to you by aword from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will descendfrom heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who arealive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage oneanother with these words.”
